About Rob
I've been in love with Yoga for almost two decades, though it took a while to realise I wanted to teach as well as practice. I believe this was the best way to advance my own practice, as well as enabling me to share what I've learnt with others.
I chose to study with Yoga campus in London. This course introduced me to a wide range of teachers and different modalities of yoga and other movement practice; it was during the course I was introduced to Hanna Somatics, a form of movement which works on whole body patterns of stress, releasing muscular tension in a safe systematic way. Hanna Somatics was developed by Dr Thomas Hanna and rooted in Feldenkrais and the Alexander technique. This proved to be the missing link for me, adding firm science to my practice and showing me where I needed to make changes.
Since then, I have undertaken teacher training in Hanna Somatics, and am now training to become a clinical Somatics educator, carrying out hands on one to one sessions with others to enable them to help themselves.
