Clinical Somatics sessions are hands on assisted movement based upon Hanna somatics movements.

Clinical Somatics is the most effective way to re-educate the central nervous system when you experience pain from habitual muscular tension.

Clinical Somatics is a form of movement which works on whole body patterns of stress, releasing muscular tension in a safe systematic way. Based upon the work of Dr Thomas Hanna and rooted in Feldenkrais and the Alexander technique.  Clinical, or Hanna Somatics addresses the postural reflexes we all experience due to the stresses of life and traumatic events that can shape us both mentally and physically.

Clinical Somatics can bring life-long lasting changes by releasing muscular tension brought about by these reflexes. Most clients benefit from six sessions which are normally made up of assisted (hands on) movements and taught movements that you can do at home to gain further benefit. The first session is up to 90 minutes, with subsequent sessions between 60 and75minutes.

Clinical Somatics sessions are held at Southend Lodge studio in Cheltenham.
